M&R Design is a Bay Area–based residential design studio specializing in custom homes, major renovations, additions, and ADUs.
Built on design experience dating back to 2018 and involvement in more than 300 residential projects, our studio brings architecture, interiors, and construction coordination together through one highly considered design process.

Our Story
M&R Design was established with a clear idea: a home should be designed as a whole. Our approach extends beyond architecture. We consider every project from the scale of the site and overall form down to the experience of each individual room—its proportions, circulation, materials, lighting, and interior details. This integrated process naturally extends into interior design, project management, and close collaboration with contractors throughout construction, allowing the original design intent to remain consistent from concept through execution. Every project begins with a careful understanding of our client’s priorities. We track the original wish list throughout the design process with the goal of addressing 100% of it wherever technically and practically achievable. The result is architecture that feels cohesive, personal, and deeply considered—never simply assembled.
